This work was made as a satire of many, mainly white people seeking to go back to what they perceive as a welcoming European homeland, only to be snubbed by a xenophobic element that paints the same brush on what they possibly conceive as folk from Africa walking out of the bush. The work depicts an aircraft taking off from Cape Town, folks have mixed emotions of jubilation, relief and anger to the place they have left. There are various puns such as the colonizing scull looking at an African landscape, the Beetle is also a pun on a Rand Lord who utilized the countries wealth only to take it back to Europe. The work is mainly hardground drawing with a slight amount of aquatint.
