Table Mountain
Artists Statement:
"At first glance all you spot from my art works are lines, but take a closer look and you will see the images or movement diminishing within the subject matter “Lines are symbolic to me because in my own consideration, everything you draft starts with a stroke. Art has always been something within me and the lines reflect back to my upbringing and can visibly see the finger prints markings on traditional huts walls made from pigment and mixed with cow dung,’ Thus the provocation of my optical line technique.
“An intimate scrutiny to my artwork results in a little optically illusion. Once you gaze, stand back and another intimate glance once again is what I like from the viewers. Such kinds of observations make me feel that I have achieved what I wanted in my artworks. I use the logic of view as my principal inspirational focal point and never overlook the repetition as the complementary foundation and by so doing; I persistently accomplish some wonderful execution on my art works. I try to always appoint the onlooker to make a more rapidly look on my artworks and or even speculate, to “scrutinise within the lines and get the message, subject matter out and also to pair and group the appearance together. It is all there within the outline. I will compare my technical approach as someone inside structural space and observing through the window blinds and partially bearing in mind what’s beyond them in their account."
